The Athens and Epidaurus Festival
is one of the most celebrated performing arts events in the Greek calendar. The program features open-air theatre, opera, classical music and ballet in various locations around Athens, including the modern concert hall and the the ancient Odeon amphitheater of Herodes Atticus. Also on the program are performances of classical plays in the ancient Epidaurus Theatre, two hours from Athens.
